As electrical parts continually reduce in size , micro injection moulding and very high moulding tolerances becomes a necessity. Lunar Enterprise specializes in creating high quality smaller parts for smaller products.

OVERMOULDING IN ELECTRICAL PARTS

Other materials can be molded into plastic allowing conductive properties. These include small multiple pronged plugs, special pin arrangements and connectors. Overmoulding can combine additional plastic material to previously casted, or metal parts to reduce shock or provide even more flexibility. Examples of electronic injection moulded products include ear phone cables and plugs, LEDs and assemblies, motor housings, electrical relays and switches and sensors, temperature control, cell phone cases and covers.

COMPLETE ASSEMBLY

Below shows a classic example of how Lunar Enterprise is a one stop destination for your electronic part. The item shown is a yarn cutter used in textile machines. Electro-mechanical systems are used to cut-off textile yarns. During yarn processing, the yarn may break and then it should be cut off and the broken end must be gripped as early as possible in the process.

Coil winding turns out to be an important operation in the yarn cutter assembly. The cutter only works if it gets the correct resistance. After coil winding, over moulding turns out to be a very delicate operation, as the inside circuit should not break during the moulding operation. Once all the sub assemblies are ready, the parts are assembled to form an electro mechanical part that can detect a broken yarn and drip it in a split second time.

When the bobbin in the textile machinery is full, the blade is moved through an electromagnet activated by the signal from the machine. A spring clamps the yarn and the new bobbin can be easily processed.
